Noah’s “Car” Mitzvah was a unique opportunity to utilize my talents as both Caricature Artist and Graphic Designer. In addition to drawing the caricatures, I also created the logo for the event, designed custom tee shirts for Noah’s guests and created the artwork for the sign-in board. The entire process—which began months before the actual Mitzvah—was stress-free for both myself and Noah’s parents and completed well before our self-imposed deadlines.
Sign-In Board Caricature
Prior to the Bar Mitzvah, I sketched Noah in his favorite car (a Mercedes) and shipped it his parents, where it was matted, framed and used as his sign-in board.
Noah’s Custom Logo
The custom logo I created combined Noah’s initials (NSF), the date of the event (3/19) and the iconic New Jersey License Plate. This logo was used on tee-shirts, name tags, projected on walls and even used on the Bar Mitzvah cake.
Noah’s Tee-Shirt Design

The Venue: Club Vibe
Noah’s Bar Mitzvah was held at Club Vibe in Riverdale, New Jersey. Club Vibe is an awesome event space with the feel of a big city dance club, but humbly located in a shopping center next to a Golds Gym. Vibe had a 56 foot video wall that broadcasted larger-than-life visuals and live footage of the ceremony. There were LCD screens on every wall displaying my NJ License plate artwork, and even a large screen that displayed celebratory tweets from Noah’s guests. This commute to the venue holds the record of how far I have traveled to a job—but was worth every minute of it!
Max’s caricature was my favorite of the night. He had a very interesting and distinctive face. I was very happy with how I captured it on paper—and Max was happy with how big I made his muscles!
